De-stress & chill with the Mindful Art Club

Do you remember when you enjoyed art as a child, without judging your ability or results? These easy-going art sessions will help you to deal with anxiety, stress and daily worries.

The Mindful Art Club® is for fun and relaxation!

Mindful Art Club® weekly groups offer coffee, creativity, and company online, in cafes and within community support services. They help to combat social isolation and offer peer support for anxiety and depression. They are also really good fun! This organisation offers a wide range of ways that you can access the group, including zoom if you are unable to go out.

Artists Peggy Melmoth and Emma Sprawson were part of the support team at Broadreach House Addiction Treatment Centre, Plymouth, offering a number of activities to the resident clients, including arts and craft workshops. When Broadreach House closed, due to a lack of funding, in July 2019, Emma and Peggy decided to bring their combined skills into the community to offer mindful art as a way to manage anxiety and stress.

  1. Just want to leave a comment here because I attended the online session yesterday for this group. It’s the first time I’ve joined an art therapy group and I have to say I loved it! The online event is £3 paid via eventbrite, the link details arrived promptly and it was no bother joining the group. Peggy and Emma are really friendly and helpful and even tho sometimes online events can be a bit hectic or hit and miss – this wasn’t. I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt very relaxed after the session.
I am definitely signing up for this again!
